We were on our way to get some dinner and we were sitting at a red light. Then all of a sudden I hear a really loud noise. It scared me so bad I yelled. It took a minute to realize that someone rear ended us. I looked at Kris and said "are you ok?" Then immediately before he could even answer I said "OMG Sadie!!!!!" Kris jumped out of the car and got in the back seat. There is that sweet little girl with those big brown eyes just staring at him. The guy didn't "see us" I know he was texting and that's why he didn't see anything. He asked if Kris was ok and Kris just said "I don't know I'm checking on my baby" the guy freaked out. I got on the phone to call our friends that lives right around the corner. Blake and Alissa come and bring their car so Sadie and I could sit in the car and not freeze to death or be in the middle of the road. Kris called the police and they decided to send an ambulance for Sadie just in case. But Sadie was more concerned that we woke her up. But we still wanted to know for sure. I FREAKED OUT. I was so scared I didn't know what to do. But was assured that they are just making sure she is ok. And she was. She was better than ok. She was flirting with the firemen. Which of course. What girl doesn't love herself a fireman! They were so cute with her. And the more I realized she was ok, the worse I felt. My back and neck were killing me. Kris' neck hurt but he was more freaked out than anything. The guy felt so bad. Which I understand but put my baby in danger and I won't be nice to you. at all. Blake and Liss gave us a ride to their house and Kris took my sad little car home. The whole back end was crunched in. I no longer had a trunk. Kris went and got his car and got his girls. We got home. I called my mom and told her in a way where they wouldn't freak out. And sat on the bed and completely broke down. Didn't sleep one wink. Kept thinking the what if's. It was awful. My poor baby had her first accident when she was only two months old. Once I knew she was ok. I had to snap some pictures of her with my phone.
The fireman said that they make those car seats so well to not to worry too much. But we should get another one in case the accident shifted anything. The next few days were a sore one. I could barely hold Sadie and bathing her was out of the question. Which made me even more mad. All because he wasn't paying attention. GRR.
Kris and I decided we should go get checked out just in case. We both had severe whiplash. Bot had to have a bunch of xrays. It was so annoying.
But after all the crap that was done. The insurance company gave us $2500 for the family for pain and suffering and paid for a new carseat. So that was nice. But bummer thing was is my car was totaled.
But it was a blessing in disguise. We got me a new Subaru which I have wanted for so long. And thank the heavens we are all safe!
